Eclipse Internet Warns Businesses to Plan for Swine Flu Related Absences

Eclipse Internet is trying to help businesses in assessing their strength in face of a swine flu attack. Employers can answer a self-assessment questionnaire created by the service provider, which would help them assess the exposure of their businesses to a swine flu attack. Eclipse will recommend improved broadband products as part of their broadband deals to these companies to combat an emergency, based on their answers. The aim is to ensure the employers are well prepared to tackle swine flu.

Mark Thomas, business specialist at Eclipse Internet, said the need for a website dedicated to the dreaded flu was felt after the pandemic attack showed most small businesses were not ready with strategies to face such situations. He warned the bosses to consider the implications of the failure to have a sound back-up plan.

A recent study of the National Archives and Records Administration reported that almost four fifths of employers who do not have a workable strategy for dealing with emergency situations do not even survive for two years after a major disaster occurs. The government has already predicted that 50 percent of the employees may fall ill due to swine flu, which means employers may suffer a severe shortfall of workers.

Eclipse claims its new broadband support systems are neither expensive nor difficult to implement. A company spokesperson said the products would enhance the efficacy of flexible work practices and promote improved communication between the employees, clients and suppliers.
