Suited Ace Strategies
Texas Hold ‘Em online poker players generally welcome an Ace as a pocket card, especially when it is suited. But not all suited Aces can be played the same. Some are stronger than others, with the kicker making a big difference in how to play the poker online hand.
Obviously, if three of the suit come out to the complete the flush, then the player holding that suited Ace has the nuts, except if the board pairs, allowing the possibility of a full boat or quads. When the Ace is suited with a face card it has more power because it could simply produce the best winning pair and also offers straight potential. AK suited is strong starter hand, with AQ, AJ and A-10 suited also playable. You can call the blinds from early position and even raise with these suited Aces from late position against only limpers.
An Ace suited with a medium card has less potential since these cannot complete to a straight, only the nut flush. It is not worth chasing with these cards if the flop misses your hand. Call the blind with these poker online hands from late position. In early position, consider who is betting behind you before entering the pot.
When the Ace is suited with a 5 or less, it again gains straight potential along with the flush. Call the blind from any position. If an Ace comes out, without cards to your flush or straight, then you are holding a pair of Aces with a weak kicker. Your Aces could be good, but any other player holding an Ace may have you out-kicked.
